The Elimination Chamber match debuted at Survivor Series 2002 and became its own annual February PPV in 2010, rebranding the slot previously held by No Way Out. Six competitors start two at a time inside a domed steel structure with four enclosed pods, with the remaining four entering at timed intervals.
The match has become a reliable Road-to-WrestleMania fixture, frequently used to set the spring's championship matches. Shawn Michaels won the inaugural Chamber to capture the World Heavyweight Championship in 2002.
