Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal, managed by Paul Ellering, were the power template almost every hoss tag team that followed copied. Known as both the Road Warriors and the Legion of Doom, they drew across the AWA, the NWA and Jim Crockett territory, WCW, the WWF and Japan from 1983 into the late 1990s, with a WWF reunion in 2003.
