Past, present and future in one stable
Evolution
Evolution formed in 2003 as a four-man WWE stable led by Triple H and Ric Flair, with Randy Orton and Batista as the rising members. The group disbanded in 2005 and reunited for one run in 2014.

Why it mattered
Evolution was built as a timeline of the business: Flair as the past, Triple H as the present, and Orton and Batista as the future. The framing gave every member a clear role in the story.
The booking paid off. Both younger members left the group as World Champions and top singles draws, which validated the "future" framing and made Evolution a model for launching new main-event stars.
