The Hart Foundation
Bret "Hitman" Hart and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, managed by Jimmy Hart, ran as a WWF team from 1985 to 1991. Bret's technical precision paired with Neidhart's power set a template that later teams copied, and it served as the launchpad for Bret's singles run.

Their finish was the Hart Attack: Neidhart trapped an opponent in a backbreaker position while Bret came off the ropes with a clothesline. The mix of a submission-based technician and a power anchor became a blueprint the tag division reused for years.
The team gave Bret Hart the platform for a singles career that reached five WWF Championships. A larger 1997 stable of the same name, adding Owen Hart, the British Bulldog, Neidhart and Brian Pillman, was a separate faction rather than this original duo.
