Biography
Jay Reso began his career as one-half of the greatest tag team in the late Attitude Era — Edge and Christian — alongside his childhood friend Edge. The team's combination of irreverent humor, legitimate wrestling ability, and table-clearing TLC matches defined an era. But Christian's story after the team's inevitable split is one of wrestling's most interesting examples of a performer outgrowing his original ceiling.
After years as a reliable midcard performer in WWE, Christian jumped to TNA in 2005 and became a main event star — winning the NWA and TNA World Heavyweight Championships. The experience gave him the main event credibility that WWE hadn't provided, and when he returned in 2009, he finally received world title runs on SmackDown that acknowledged his legitimate talent.
